ACT Sportsgrounds Closed

Please see the notice below for all games this weekend.

ACT Sports Grounds have closed all turf grounds this coming weekend. To understand how this impacts matches this weekend, please review the additional important information below from Capital Football.

Junior League

  • All Junior League matches scheduled on turf ACT Government sports grounds will be recorded as a ‘washout’ and will not be played
  • All Junior League matches scheduled on Melrose Synthetic on Saturday 26 June will be recorded as a ‘washout’ and will not be played
  • All Junior League matches scheduled on private or interstate grounds are scheduled to be played at this moment; however, teams should keep a close eye on the Inclement Weather page of the Capital Football website to find out if these grounds remain open.

Senior League

  • All Senior League matches scheduled on grass ACT Government Sports Grounds will be recorded as a ‘washout’ and will not be played
  • All Senior League matches scheduled on private or interstate grounds are scheduled to be played at this moment; however, teams should keep a close eye on the Inclement Weather page of the Capital Football website to find out if these grounds remain open.

NPL

  • Capital Football is working on a plan to deliver as many NPL games as possible by moving matches scheduled on ACT turf pitches to synthetic pitches. We will publish updated schedules later this evening – just waiting to confirm a few arrangements with specific venues.
  • Be aware that given the limitations with available grounds, kick off times and venues will change for many NPL matches this weekend. We ask for your cooperation, understanding and flexibility ahead of the weekend, to ensure as much football as possible is played.
  • Not every NPL match can be fit onto the available grounds. Given this, we have scheduled matches based on priority and considered the ability of clubs to reschedule matches throughout the week given their venues.
