Woden Valley Soccer Club (WVSC) thrives because of our amazing volunteer community. Whether you’re helping on game day, supporting a team, or coordinating activities
behind the scenes, your time makes a real difference. Almost all of our club operations are run by volunteers.

No experience required. We provide guidance, support and clear role
descriptions to help you succeed.

Become a Volunteer

Canteen Manager (Paid – enquire for details)

Overview
Lead and manage the canteen and BBQ operations throughout the season.

Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase and manage stock
  • Prepare volunteer rosters
  • Oversee operations on game days
  • Manage cash handling and reconciliation
  • Report to Treasurer and Club Committee

Skills / Experience

  • Good organisation skills
  • Customer service experience
  • Basic financial record keeping
Field Set-Up Crew (Volunteer)
  • Set up goals, nets, flags, benches and equipment before games
  • Ensure fields are safe and match-ready
  • Reliable and punctual
End-of-Day Pack Up (Volunteer)
  • Pack away equipment at the end of game day
  • Ensure the ground and surrounds are tidy
  • Efficient and organised
Team Roles (Volunteer)

Coach

  • Lead training sessions and games
  • Support player development and wellbeing

Assistant Coach

  • Support the Coach at training and on game day
  • Assist with drills and activities

Team Manager

  • Coordinate team communications
  • Manage paperwork and logistics
  • Main contact between families and the club

Assistant Team Manager

  • Support the Team Manager with administration
Game Leaders (Volunteer)
  • Help facilitate games for younger age groups
  • Encourage fair play and participation
  • Basic understanding of the game
Age Group Coordinator (Volunteer)
  • Main contact point for coaches and managers
  • Liaise with the committee on age-group matters
  • Support communication and issue resolution
