Roles & Responsibilities
Field Set-Up Crew (1-2 hours before first match)
Responsibilities:
- Set up goals, flags, lines, nets, benches, etc.
- Ensure all equipment is ready before matches begin.
Skills / Experience Required: Punctuality, reliability, basic field layout awareness.
End-of-Day Pack Up (1-2 hours after final match)
Responsibilities:
- Pack away equipment (goals, flags, benches, etc.).
- Ensure fields and surroundings are clean.
Skills / Experience Required: Efficiency, care, team spirit.
Coach (2-6 hours per week + game day)
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead training sessions.
- Provide feedback, motivation, and skill development.
- Communicate with players, parents, and club.
Skills / Experience Required: Leadership, communication, passion.
Assistant Coach (2-3 hours per week + game day)
Responsibilities:
- Support the coach in practice planning and execution.
- Lead small groups or specific drills.
- Fill in for coach when needed.
Skills / Experience Required: Teamwork, basic coaching knowledge, reliability.
Team Manager (2-3 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Main point of contact between team, parents, and club.
- Manage attendance, uniforms, logistics, paperwork.
- Ensure club policies are followed.
Skills / Experience Required: Organisation, communication, multitasking.
Assistant Team Manager (2-3 hours per week)
Responsibilities:
- Support the team manager with admin and logistics.
- Help coordinate communication and events.
Skills / Experience Required: Cooperative attitude, willingness to assist.
Game Leader (Game time only, varies)
Responsibilities:
- Manage match flow for younger age groups.
- Encourage sportsmanship and fair play.
- Communicate with referees and oversee behaviour.
Skills / Experience Required: Good interpersonal skills, understanding of game rules.
Referee (Game time, as scheduled)
Responsibilities:
- Officiate matches fairly and impartially.
- Ensure player safety and rules compliance.
- Communicate decisions clearly with coaches/players.
Skills / Experience Required: Knowledge of rules, decisiveness, calmness under pressure.
Assistant Equipment Manager
Responsibilities:
- Help maintain and organise club equipment.
- Assist with inventory, repairs, storage.
- Support set-up / pack-up crews.
Skills / Experience Required: Organisational skills, care, reliability.
Age Group Coordinator (2-3 hours weekly)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate multiple teams in an age group.
- Support coaches, handle issues, liaise with club committee.
Skills / Experience Required: Leadership, communication, multi-tasking.
Volunteer Coordinator (2-4 hours weekly)
Responsibilities:
- Recruit, organise and roster volunteers.
- Train, confirm availability, communicate roles.
- Recognise and appreciate volunteer efforts.
Skills / Experience Required: Volunteer management, scheduling, communication.
Fundraising Coordinator (2-3 hours, variable)
Responsibilities:
- Plan and run fundraising events.
- Work with sponsors and community partners.
- Promote events, manage funds, logistics.
Skills / Experience Required: Event management, networking, communication.
Communications / Social Media Manager (2-4 hours weekly)
Responsibilities:
- Manage social media and club communications.
- Create newsletters, website updates, posts.
- Work with volunteers to gather content, photos.
Skills / Experience Required: Writing, digital literacy, social media savvy.
Event Coordinator (Varies with events)
Responsibilities:
- Organise club events: awards, presentations, socials.
- Coordinate logistics, volunteers, venues, catering.
- Promote events to members and community.
Skills / Experience Required: Event planning, coordination, communication.
Safety / First Aid Officer
Responsibilities:
- Ensure health & safety protocols during club activities.
- Maintain first aid kits, respond to incidents.
- Conduct safety checks of fields & equipment.
Skills / Experience Required: First aid certification, attention to detail, caring attitude.
