National Premier League (NPL) – State
What is National Premier League State?
National Premier League (NPL) State is the highest competition offered in Mens and Womens Senior football.
NPL was introduced in 2015. The competition is limited to eight clubs.
NPL – Womens (NPLW)
The NPL Women’s is the highest competition offered in women’s football in the ACT and surrounding region.
NPL Women’s are required to field 1st Grade, Reserve Grade, U17, U15 and U13 teams.
NPL – Mens (NPL1 and NPL2)
NPL Men’s is the highest competition offered in men’s football in the ACT and surrounding regions.
There are two divisions in the NPL Mens category, NPL1 and NPL2.
NPL1 – Clubs are required to field teams in all age grades (1st Grade and U23).
NPL2 – Clubs are required to field teams in all age grades (1st Grade and U23).
How can I join NPLW/NPL1/NPL2?
Attend the trials offered by Woden Valley Soccer Club around November each year. In some cases, Woden Valley will reach out to individual players identified as being suitable for NPL (this can occur at any time in the season).
