Are you over 35? A Woden Masters invitation to play football!
The Woden Masters invites parents/ guardians of all Woden junior and state league players to join us for a bit of football fun.
Given the playing season is fast approaching, you may be wondering if you can still play football. Wonder no more. Grab the opportunity to join us for a social game while there is warmth in the air and no need for that knee blanket.
The Masters men have a social kickaround on Sunday mornings in February and on March 12 from 8.30 am.
You don’t have to be over 35 years to join in, though if you’ve reached or are near that milestone, you’re in our target group.
You will find us at Mawson District Playing fields off Beasley St. The sessions will go for around 90 minutes. We play a series of small sided games of say 5X5 and supply the shirts, balls and etc. There’s plenty of parking available at the fields.
To be clear, this is a social get together so it’s all ‘at your own risk’. For your safety, please bring football boots and shinpads. Respect your limits. Anyone who wants to get real serious can talk with the convenor about signing up and playing competitively for the winter season. The Club is fielding three men’s teams in the ACT competition this year, two in the O35 age groups and one in the O45.
If in doubt whether it’s on because of rain, check the Club’s website for details about whether fields are open or closed. If fields are open, then the kickaround will be on.
