Female Football Week this year will run from the 4 March to the 10 March, starting off with a come and try day for Powerchair at Lyneham Hockey Centre, so if you know of anyone who would love to come and give powerchair football a go or just come along and watch the team in action then Lyneham Hockey Centre from 10am to 11:30am will be the place to be.
In the afternoon of the 4th of Canberra United take on Adelaide at McKellar Park at 3pm, get along and support the team as they fight for a top four spot.
Women and Girls 5 aside tournament
The Women’s and Girl’s 5 a side tournament will be held on 5 March at Hawker Football Centre. The Junior competition will kick off at 8am till 12pm and then the Seniors will kick off from 1pm to 5pm. The tournament is free of charge and it is a completely social event with no finals.
The girls tournament is for U9 – U17’s and the women’s tournament is for U18’s to open age. Rules and regulations will be sent out closer to the date. Maximum of 10 players per team.

Female Football Week
During the week Capital Football will be hosting a range of three a side tournaments out of Hawker Football Centre. The week will look like this;
*Monday Night 6 March from 6pm to 9pm – All Ability three a side tournament. This tournament is for people with a disability (intellectual or physical) – both male and female.
*Tuesday night 7 March from 6pm to 9pm will be Over 33’s – Female only
*Wednesday night 8 March from 6pm top 9pm will be Thrifty Three’s – U18’s to open age (male and female but must have at least 3 females in the team)
*Thursday night 9 March from 6pm to 9pm will be Diplomatic 3’s – This tournament is for our embassies and refugees in Canberra (male and female but must have at least 2 females in the team).
There is no cost to the tournaments and the rules and regulations will be sent out prior to the tournaments.
