Social kickabout with a invite to the LGBTI community for IDAHOT 2016.
The Woden Masters invites older LGBTI folk to join us for a bit of football fun. Before it gets real cold, we are running a social kickaround on Sunday 15 May 2016 from 10am.
Come and have a kick with us while the men’s (Masters age groups) games are in progress on the fields adjacent. You don’t have to be over 35 years, though if you’ve reached or are near that milestone, you’re in our target group.
We’ll kick off at 10 am at Mawson District Playing fields off Beasley St. The session will go for around 90 minutes. We will aim to have a series of small sided games of say 4X4 or 5X5and supply the shirts, balls and etc. There’s plenty of parking available at the fields.
To be clear, this is a social get together so it’s all ‘at your own risk’. For your safety, please bring football boots and shinpads. Respect your limits. Anyone who wants to get real serious can talk with the convenor about signing up and playing competitively for the masters at our tournament in October this year or next winter season. The Club is fielding three men’s teams in the ACT competition this year, two in the O35 age groups and one in the O45.
If in doubt whether it’s on because of rain, check the Club’s website for details about whether fields are open or closed. If fields are open, then the kickaround will be on.
Yours in Football
