WVSC celebrates IWD!

Hi, I’m Gemma. This is my third year as VP Girls 10-12 at WVSC. It’s a role that I took on to create more space for girls in football but I try to be a voice for female identifying coaches and players. I am part of a passionate committee in a great community football club. In addition to being a VP (and a full time worker and parent of three) I coach a girls U12 team. This is an amazing age to be involved with, there is so much potential and such passion.

On #IWD I ask you to “let kids be kids”. The football field is a great place to #BreakTheBias there is space for everyone – our club offers everything from PeeWees to Powerchair. On IWD (and every day!) support your girls to play sport, have fun, be brave, be themselves. The football field is a great place to make friends and do your best. There is nothing better than seeing the girls have fun and try their best.
