WVSC Coaches Job Description

Woden Valley SC is dedicated to nurturing young talent and fostering a positive, inclusive environment that supports both performance and community-level player development. We are seeking passionate and committed coaches to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of our boys’ and girls’ programs. Your enthusiasm and dedication will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our players and the broader football community.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coaching and Development:
– Plan, deliver, and evaluate high-quality training sessions that align with the club’s football philosophy and development goals.
– Focus on individual player development, improving technical skills, tactical understanding, and overall performance.
– Monitor and assess player progress, providing constructive feedback.

2. Match Day Responsibilities
– Prepare and manage youth teams for match days, including tactical setup, team selection, and in-game coaching.

3. Player Welfare
– Foster a positive, inclusive, and safe environment for all players.
– Ensure players’ physical and mental well-being, working closely with support staff.

4. Communication and Collaboration
– Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, and club staff.
– Collaborate with other coaches and the Technical Director and Coaching Coordinator to ensure consistency and continuity across all youth teams.
– Participate in regular coaching meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Experience
– Relevant coaching qualifications (e.g., FFA/AFC C License or higher), or a strong interest in becoming a coach.
– Whether you’re a seasoned coach or just starting out, we welcome you to join our team. We have a robust support network within the club to guide you through your coaching journey and help you develop your skills.
– Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
– Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
